Default car not starting (searched)

alright basically i've got an EK with a GSR turbo in it. the car's been sleeping for roughly 6 months due to a blown tranny and fried clutch, as well as a few cracks and bends in the PB ramhorn mani (it was in an accident). the car would usually start up, but not drive.

anyway, the first 2 months it was sitting, i had been starting it once a week on the regular just to keep it in normal running condition. usually about 5-10 minutes of run time. whatever.

after 2 months, it began to hesitate to start, cranking longer and longer until now, where it just cranks and doesn't start.

I SHOULD MENTION, there is less than 1/4 tank of 6 month old gas in it right now. oil is fresh (well, 6 months ago). and there hasn't been a gas cap on it for the entirety of these 6 months. the car also sat through 1-2 feet of accumulated snow this past winter.

could low fuel pressure cause the car not to turn over when i try to start it? could the old gas + lack of a gas cap be causing this low fuel pressure? also, would it be too overkill to assume that there may have been some condensation that could have leaked into my gas tank because i don't have a gas cap?

i'm in the process of rebuilding a tranny and fixing up a few issues the car was having before the new year. i'd like to know if it's possible that the gas could be bad and i may have [freak]ed my motor up just by attempting to start the car in the condition it's in.

thanks in advance

Im not sure, but wouldnt the gas have evaporated?...Why dont you try by putting in fresh gas and see if you get somwhere?. If your motor just cranks, it could possibly be something wrong with your distributor as well.

ouch.. just sat in snow. you definitely will want to use fresh gas to begin with... and by not having a gas cover on it, one of two things... someone stole the quarter of a tank you had left, or it would have lost all the fumes, which would be an issue! haha but really, start by getting some good fresh gas and a gas cover. thats the first thing i'd do in your situation.

yeah i figured.

but i highly doubt someone stole the rest of the gas i had.

of course with prices the way they are right now you never really know.

edit: thanks by the way

Car started last week. I had blown off finishing this car for 3 years. Just needed new gas and a battery. Good old Hondas.

Car is getting:

Competition Stage 4 clutch
new tranny internals
new spark plugs
oil change
t-bolt clamps to replace the crappy hose clamps i have on my charge pipes
new coolant
new dump tube (previous one cracked off @ the flange during a race)
apexi WS2 universal turbo muffler (the fart can on my 2.5" piping sounds like ***)
alarm with remote keyless (zomg, i didn't have one this whole time)
SPW 3 spoke steering wheel black w/ red stitching
NRG quick release w/ quick lock
NRG titanium rear sway bar
ATI harmonic balancer (replacing the plagued and evil N1 pulley before my motor blows up)
new drum brakes (the ones that were sitting for 3 years were seized and bad anyway)
Ramhorn mani getting re-tigged and milled to be re-seated onto head
NRG seats (not shelling out the $$ for recaros) black w/red stitching
interior overhaul (new suede and trim parts/colors including arm rests, center cap, floor and roof)
CF hood
a 10" sub for some extra bumpage

And now for the best part...

getting rid of my R34 body kit and going stock with front & rear lips.
getting rid of my rice chromies and getting a smaller, lighter, cleaner wheel.
new paint, including lips and side skirts.

Further street tuning after everything under the hood is done. (a bit more conservative)

It's getting there......
