Default Car not starting help please...

Sorry i would have searched but i guess it's down at the moment.
Ok actually this is my gf's car she has a 2001 civic ex coupe when she turns the key it clicks once and thats it. This happened once before awhile ago but it started after a few hours and was working fine up until today. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Maybe your battery is toasted.

Battery seems to be fine and the lights, alarm, stereo would still turn on. If the battery was almost dead but still had enough power for those would it do more than just a click? Could it be the starter or something else going bad?

if it is a 2001 it has the immobilizer key correct. are u using the Original key or one ordered from honda. if thats not the case it could be the battery doesnt have enough juice to turn the starter or in some freakish happening the started toasted itself. all should still be under warrenty.

Thanks for all the help guys. We are using the original immobilizer key and for anyone that cares it is a POS system, it really makes it a pain to start the car and lots of people told me that it is easy to disarm the system without the key... Anyways we hope its not the starter cause thats gonna be some $$$ to replace, i dont think the car is under warranty anymore.
