Car not starting after fuel pump install
I have a 93 Civic LX with stock engine. It was sitting for a couple months in my driveway without turning it on. I went to start it this week and it wouldn't start, it cranked but would turn over. I didn't hear the fuel pump so I decided to replace it along withthe fuel filter. After installing the fuel pump the car started right up. I then moved the car out of my driveway to put another car in and left the car running for about 30 min so the battery could charge up a bit. After leaving it off for a few hours I tried to start it up again and it wouldn't start. If I give it a little gas and keep turning the key it will start and idle roughly but once I let go of the gas the car dies out, it even back fired a little bit. Today I loosened the fuel line at the filter and turned the key and gas sprayed out so the pump seems to be doing its job. I then replaced the main relay with one from another civic and it still won't start. I also replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor. Anyone have any ideas what it could be. Tomorrow I plan to test the spark plugs amd coil to see if its the distributor. Its strange that it only started once after replacing the fuel pump. Could the pump be bad? Thanks in advance.

check spark if you are getting fuel, its is either going to be the coil or the ignitor both under the distributor cap, ,that is my best guess
