Car Not idling right after swap, any help?
94 cx with us b18c1
I hate to post about something pretty dumb, but I just cant get it. Could be a couple things tell me what ya think.
It idles ok at startup and until warm, then It will dive down to like 500rpms my steering wheel shakes bad, and when i drive it just feels rough? like vibration through my foot on the gas pedal. when its down at 500, if i give it the slightest throttle, as rpms rise, it smooths right out, but like i said once in gear, especially on downshift revs, it feels kinda rough.
I know the idle is too low, I tried to adjust it VIA haynes today and it didnt work. it said to unplug evap and IAC, then start car, and slowly let off throttle, then adjust from there, well no matter how easily i let off the throttle, it would go down to about 0 rpms and stall out?! wtf! what am i doing wrong?
still have stock CX exhaust, bolted up (just as temporary until I can afford something) maybe thats why feels so rough? too much backpressure in a tiny crushbend POS setup?
only other thing is theres one tiny hose coming off the evap canister that goes nowhere, nothing on the b18 to plug it into, anyone tell me what to splice it into or what to do with it (can have a pic tomorrow)
Id appreciate any input someone might have...
