Re: Car Lowered (egryda)
yes using stock shocks...i bought car 5 months ago and i havent went to get it aligned because it did not seem it was off with the stock springs...the steering wheel was straight...but thats a good solution..do u think i can get it aligned the car is estimated to be about four inches off the ground .. if i go to a tire shop will they tell me i need a camber kit? the wheels dont butterfly and my passenger tire does not wear at all compared to my driver side where its nearly balding every time i go somwhere .

did you cut the bumpstops? I had H&R race springs with previously cut bumpstops and the that slammed my car big time. rubbed all the time so I threw my old GCs back on and now have two week old H&R race springs collecting dust. The H&R instructions tell you to NOT cut the stock bumpstops if i remember correctly. I think it should be the same with Neuspeeds (I assume you have the race springs). Just a thought.

First of all, sounds like you are way too low for stock shocks, hell even aftermarket shocks are going to take some abuse at that ride height. Even awesome shocks won't help the ride if they don't have room to travel. I'm sure the car rides like ****. When I slammed my Civic my tires rubbed like mad so I just cut my fender well lining all out. I had 14" wheels at the time, then 15" OEM Si wheels.
Not getting an alignment isn't helping. You can't really adjust the camber but you can adjust the toe. Get it set to 0. That is probably contributing to your uneven tire wear. Whenever you lower your car you should get an alignment right away. I doubt you could even get a camber kit if it is as low as you say it is without rolling your fenders.
Just some stuff to consider. Perhaps raise it up a bit. It would ride better, handle better, save your tire life more, and look better.
Just some FYI.

Re: Car Lowered (96 SOHC VTEC)
I had the same problem, uneven tire ware on the front tires only.... basically your car seems to be to low for the stock shocks, what i did to fix my problem was get some good shocks, like tokicos (no dont get kyb!!) and then go get your car aligned and tell the guy to make sure he gets the front toe and set it as close as he can to 0 if not right on 0... it helped me and saved me 100$ for a tire each 3 months !

I also agree, too low for stock shocks. But one thing that I think was over looked was that you said that you have 195/55/15 tires. These are not the size you want, they have a taller sidewall than you need. You want 195/50/15 tires. This is probably another reason you are rubbing. But I would suggest getting rid of those springs anyway, because it is only a matter of time now until your shocks blow and you will be forced to new ones. And in that case do it right and get some coilovers.

Getting an alignment won't necessarily solve your tire wear problem. I had my toe set at 0 but with a 3.5" drop my camber was WAY off so the tires wore quickly anyway. Only raising the car back up some regardless of what shock you have will solve the tire wear and ride issue.
