WOW! what a guessing game this thread has turned into, buddy the cause of your problem can be alot of things! your explaining of the situation is very good and sounds exactly like the issue I had and for you not to go through a very very long list of parts I recommend you finding an b16 running car from any friend etc! change most of those parts listed above from the donor, go and change them one at a time, try the ignition parts first by swaping the dizzy, wires, plugs, tps, ecu than go with the fast idle valve and Iacv, then try the mounts, remember try them one at a time so that you can really pin point what your problem is! this idea shouldnt take too long even if it turned out to be the very last part you try! and it will save you a **** load of cash trust me.

Re: Car jerks when letting off or barely pressing gas pedal.
you said it does the same thing when its in neutral and you rev it. i would definitely be looking at the tps, map, IAC.
the tps could have a dead spot in it, the map could be messed up and getting a weird reading, the iac could be dirty and freezing up(iacs dont just work to control the idle, they also help the engine make a smooth transition from off-idle to idle).
if you can get access to a scan tool that reads pids(not just a code reader), or a multimeter these tests will be easy.
tps can be tested with key on engine off, move the throttle slowly and watch for a smooth linear increase in the voltage.
for the map, the engine has to be running. you are simply looking for a change in the voltage as you open the throttle.
with the iac, there are a few different ways companies do this. some use voltage to control it, some use pulse width modulation................but the testing procedure will be very similar to the others. to test the iac, the engine must be running
hope this helps

Yeah I had a problem similar and the IACV was going out on it. Then again it was also causing a crappy idle so i dont know the full range of your symptoms. Also do you have a lightweight flywheel as this can cause bad driveability also.

i had the exact same problem with my ek. i forgot the problem, but i think it was the iacv acting up. try bleading the radiator system. also check if your tps plug is not plugged into the map. they have identical plugs! this happened to my friend's. Try checking these. i doubt it could be your motor mounts.
first: check to see if map and tps plugs are in the right spot
second: bleed radiator system, could be iacv
third: look else where

None of you are answering his questions. You are all off topic.
Op, Get the ES suspension inserts for your torque mounts. They are causing your problem. I do not know if the ITR torque mounts are any stiffer than regular mounts. Just get the ES inserts and call it a day.

Sounds like a torque mount is bad or going. Get some inserts or replace them.
I'm missing the passenger side torque mount (broke the hell right off) on my D16Y8 and it's pretty bad, same exact problem description, especially in 1st.

I'll do the voltage tests just to verify and clean out the throttle body.
As far as the torque mounts, I know the AC one is broken. I don't really want inserts since I read through the archives about horrible vibrations. I'll probably just snag the ITR torque mounts since they're cheaper than the Si one's anyhow (in price).

the thing that tells me engine and not mounts is that it still does it in neutral. hondas are not known for tq(no offense, its just an observation) so im kinda doubting a bad mount would be very noticable with a neutral rev.

Sounds like a clutch issue to me, a worn out disc with high spots will "chatter" and partially engage and disengage when you come off the clutch. Although in the interest of time saving (and general thoroughness) I would check TPS range (a graphing meter would help), then with a friend check motor mounts by powerbraking (if there is an issue with mounts you'll see it), lastly I'd look at clutch disc since it isn't too hard to separate motor and tranny in the car and inspect the disc. If none of that shows the problem then I'd start throwing money at it.

bump - still having this problem!
I know I said earlier that it does it in neutral too, but that's NOT the case.
I revved it throughout the range (like up to 5,000 rpm) and let off the throttle real hard - not even the slightest jerk. Does that help to limit it down?

Re: Car jerks when letting off or barely pressing gas pedal.
I had the same problem.
Swapped multiple parts. No help.
Turned out to be my wiring harness. Had my harness laid out on the dinning room table with a multimeter checking continuity. Found a bad wire, wasn't getting a consistent signal from the TPS. As the engine moved under torque, the signal would drop out. Ended up putting in another harness and all was well.

I had a problem that was really similar to yours. It was my tps. Try unplugging the tps and see if it still does it. Obviously, if you do that, your CEL will turn on and it'll idle at like 1500, but it should run fine otherwise. Don't drive around like this, as you'll eat gas, but it could be a free way to count this out/diagnose.

Subed, I have the same problem, but mine doesnt shake in neutral. Pretty sure it's my mounts since I don't have a CEL and the car is 14 years old.

Re: Car jerks when letting off or barely pressing gas pedal.
My 93 Del Sol Si is doing the same thing. I just got the car a month or so ago and have only driven it a few times but this problem is horrible in parking lot situations. Sometimes in higher gears when cruising through town at low speeds, it will do it in 5th gear also.
I don't know if it is related but when I use the cruise, there is no easing on or off the gas. Its like the car is on or off when the speed is near its setting say at 45 MPH.
Hopefully with enough of us working on the problem we can come up with a few good fixes.
