alright here is the story.... i have a 99 honda civic SI that i bought used from a dealer... The only thing it has is cold air intake and a retarded shift light that only goes on when it red lines or if i kill it..... the check engine light is on for a idle air control sensor... i switched it out with my buddys to see if it was the problem i drove it for a couple minutes and it seemed fine so the next day i got a new sensor i put the new sensor in and reset the computer.... drove it for a couple days and was all fine then BAM check engine light is back on and is back to the same ole crap... I NEED SOME HELP HERE please any suggestions are appreciated... thanks again.........

What is the code? For IAT?

Clean your IACV using carb cleaner as well.

p0505 is the code and the iacv is brand new that is the thing i replaced the idle air control valve ....maybe i called it something else my bad

Coolant lines are hooked up? If the sensor is new, and it's still not working, it might be wiring. Make sure the connector pins are making connection with the wiring harness.

everything seeming ok he has battery voltage to the valve with the key on. also seemed to have a decent ground cuz i grounded out the multimeter through the connector and yes the coolant lines are hooked up yesterday we swapped out ecu's with my car (99 si) and now just waiting to see if the light comes back on. keep u posted thanks
