when im driving my car usually only in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear around 2-3rpms my car will hesitate and bog and you have to press the gas pretty hard to stop it, then it surges. if you let off the gas a little then itll do it again in awhile. ive noticed its especially bad going up hills.

we thought it was the throttle cable but that seems ok. i am throwing an IACV code, so that could be it, but i think it also may have something to do w/ possibly running lean?? theres no other codes too, so TPS and 02 sensor shouldnt be it. fuel filters new and oils good. what do you guys think and how should i fix it? thanks again.

well my car did the same thing... kind of. but mine was like a fuel pump or a main relay.. check those.. if that doesnt work hit me back up....

Do you have a fuel pressure regulator? because it happend to me before, it was doing the same thing too, turn down youfuel pressure to 40 psi...

see thats what i thought, i lowered the fuel pressure and i think i lowered it way too much(bc it was runnin hella rich bf and flooding my car). i dont know what im running now so i guess i have to go buy a fuel pressure regulator. when i get it what should i set it at? 40 psi?<the motor/cars all stock. any other suggestions or thoughts in the mean time?

timing set perfectly and wires and plugs brand new. i think im gonna go check to see if the plugs are whiteish tho, thats usually a sign of running lean. still open to more thoughts and suggestions. thanks so far.

going up hill at 3rd, 4th or 5th gear at 2-3k rpm..and it boggs...try downshifting? u are going up hill of course its going to....bogg/cut on u? lol i might be wrong! who knows. anyways just giving my 4 cents. unlike the 2 cents. haha

I've had this happen to me a couple times and it always turned out to be my O2 sensor taking a ****, I bet you that your problem. And dont buy that BOSCH universal crap either, hell dont buy bosch period. I went through 4 before I bought one from the dealer and has never bogged or surged since. thank my 2cents.

no, even when i down shift it hesitates/bogs/loses power. i know how to drive! it just seems to happen more when im going up hill, but it does happen when im driving steadily on a flat road too. it feels like a fuel problem to me, like its not getting enough at certain times or something. but i dont know for sure, thats why i ask you guys. i read that ppl have similar probs bc of running lean, thats why i thought that what it may be. plus i dont know what else it could be, everything else is ok. is this the part i need to read and adjust my fuel pressure? if not, what exactly do i need? anyone else? suggestions, opinions?

and theres no code for the 02 sensor, thats why i thought it wasnt that. only codes i have are IACV and knock sensor. i had an 02 sensor heater code bf, but it went away bc it was unplugged or something and we just plugged it back in or adjusted it or whatever and no more codes. so is it bc of running lean (like 1320DRAGWORKX)? or 02 sensor? or what? and what about the part i need for the fuel pressure regulator gauge to read and adjust? btw thanks guys.

I never got an o2 sensor code either, but I paid attention to my A/f guage and thats how I knew it was bad.

my 97 was doing that and it was my knock sensor at first then it got worse and my o2 crapped out on me,, didnt throw a code either
