Description
For Sale: 1996 Honda Civic DX 4 door sedan *Bone Stock* 215k miles front to back unmolested daily driven 100% reliable amazing car automatic transmission new timing belt new water pump new new valve cover gaskets new rotor button and cap new NGK spark plugs new wires new tires faithfully changed the oil and well maintained. The only thing wrong AC system is fully intact from factory but AC doesn't work. I can only assume bad compressor never had it tested never got around to fix it. Selling the car because just acquired a new SUV for the family. Ol faithful must go.

These cars are capable of going 500k and more. Just depends on maintenance and driving habits and some plain luck. You can probably get it for 1200 so you can have some money to fix the AC. Make sure it doesn't smoke and smell trans oil. It should be clean on. No way to tell the health of engine unless you do a compression and leakdown test which I wouldn't do on a cheap car.

I would be interested in the suspension. Older cars like that often need a full rebuild of the suspension.

So everyone is going to act like he posted pics? Yeah it sounds good but the determining factor of anything would be seeing it first.

Pull the oil cap off, look inside with a light, if you see a bunch of black burnt oil it hasn't been changed regularly, if it's a nice light honey color it's been well looked after. The biggest thing to watch out for is the automatic transmission, if you drive it and it seems to shift nice chances are it's good. If it's jerky or shifts hard, doesn't want to shift, etc I'd stay away. Those cars will run for a very long time in an area where the body doesn't rust.
