Car dying at idle.
2000 civic EX
AEM CAI (if it matters)
power steering and alternator underdrive pulleys (AEM, stock crank pulley)
just replaced the dizzy wires and spark plugs a month ago
just changed the oil and transmisison fluid on monday
seafoamed last friday
Oil level looks fine on the dipstick
The car starts up fine and idles fine after start up. After driving around for a bit the idle RPM will drop waaay low (200-300 rpm) and the oil pressure will dip to 10-15 PSI. Sometimes the car will bring itself back to around 1K rpm at idle after the dip, sometimes it just dies. Oil pressure at 3K RPM in 4th gear is about 70PSI. It seems to run fine when giving it throttle. I don't see any fluid leaks under the car.
This is my daily driver and I REALLY need to get this problem fixed since I deliver pizza for a living. This problem just started today and it died on me about 15 times doing my first delivery today.
Thanks for the help

Re: (Syndacate)
just ran it through the brake booster and the PCV line. turned it off for 5 minutes, started it and ran it untill the smoke went away and then drove around for a while. The car has been fine untill now.

Re: Car dying at idle. (Cold Fyre)
NEVER USE SEAFOAM! i know there is a couple of people on here that say it's good and it works, but i've read numerous threads how this has screwed up the motor.
also, i really think the problem is the pulleys. should just have kept on the oem ones. those pulleys really don't serve any purpose.

I've talked to many people about seafoam and every single one has had no problems. If that caused the problem, what can I do?

Re: (ATEJ8FTW)
The seafoam says O2 sensor safe. I just took 1/3 or the can in a cup and sucked it up through the PCV tube and then another 1/3 and ran it through the brake booster nipple. Turned the car off for 5 minutes, then turned it on and revved till the smoke started to dissipate and then drove around for about 15 minutes.

Re: (jibs)
to tell you the truth i dont think it has anything to do with the seafoam unless you did not reconnect all the vacuum lines. If thats the case your computer is gonna have a hard time controlling the idle and maybe thats why dying
i would check thes things
spark plug gap
spark timing (with timing light) i gues u cant do this without idle but try
proper vacuum

I've had the pulleys on for almost a month now without any problems till now, I don't see why it would start stuff just now.

So I think the problem is electrical. When I drive with the headlights on and the fan cranked on, my idle doesn't drop below 800-900 rpm. With just the fan on, it doesn't drop below 500-600. I think im gonna put the stock alternator pulley on and see if it fixes the problem.
