Car does not want to rev. Wants to die when I step on gas
I finally finished my 94 b18b1 swap into my EG. The car starts up fine, but the idle is rough. Also, When I try to rev the engine, right when I step on the gas the car wants to die. Before it would not rev passed 3500 but now it doesn't want to rev at all. Here is a quick video.
Could timing cause this?
Throwing codes: 10, 14, and 41.

Wrong MAP sensor will do that.
Switching the MAP sensor and TPS sensor clips will do that as well (they are interchangable).

Re: Car does not want to rev. Wants to die when I step on gas
Thanks for the advice! Did not work though
I Switched the tsp and map sensor plugs. My car just died after start up so I think it was correct the first time. Also. I have one plug on the harness that is near the iacv plug that is not being used. It's the same 2 wire plug as the iacv. I switched the plug that I plugged into the iacv with the other one, and I got the idle to be a lot smoother. Car idles at 800 steady now. So that means the plug that was in It before was incorrect. Where would that plug go into then?
Car still does not rev past 2500 when I give it some gas slowly. And when I step on the gas all the way fast the car wants to still die. I think I'm in limp mode?

Does it stutter really bad under load...or just doesn't rev?
If its a stutter under load, it can be a number of things.

Re: Car does not want to rev. Wants to die when I step on gas
So, my car runs but not smooth still. It won't rev passed 2000 at all. I'm thinking a way to bypass this is to delete the cell codes that I'm getting? So I can get it out of limp mode.
The car does stutter under load also.

DUDE! I'm having the same problem with my B18C1 swap into EG hatch. Just got my ground wires settled down and now this, Murphey's law. We'll get through this together.
Code 10: Intake Air Temp Seonsor
Code 14: IAC, which you took care of so cross that out.
Code 41 and 48: Oxygen Sensor heater, Haynes book says 'Check the heater for the proper voltage signal'
I don't know if a code reset will work but if you try it let me know.
Also is your engine running super rich?

Clearing the codes will not get it out of limp mode... Are you running the correct ecu? Check your mechanical timing...
