Default Car dies on me . . .

SO I have a 98 CIVIC HATCH CX that was flooded a couple weeks ago. Before the flood, it worked perfectly fine and now, it's dying on me at random moments. The car initially did'nt start up when we towed it back to my place so we left it to sit in the driveway til insurance got back with us. A week later I decide to just start the car to see if it would start and luckily it DID ! SO I drove it around for probably 40 miles and this is where the problems starts. I was driving it up a bridge and all of the sudden, the car shuts off. RPMS drop from 2000-3000 to 0 in seceonds. And today, I decided to take the car around the block. THe car cranks over and it's fine. It idles really werid though. THE RPMS would go up and down on its own, it's like REVING on its own from 2200 RPM to 1000RPM vice versa. Then the RPMS take a DUMP to zeros and shuts off. A couple meins later, I crank it over and it shuts-off IMMEDIATELY right after. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
