Car dies and i just dont know why...
My car just dies after driving it for awhile. Whenever i drive my car for a short period of time....it just looses it's power out of no where and just dies. Showing the battery and oil sign. Whenever i try to start it...it cranks...but no start. I would then have to wait for a good 10 mins to let it cool so then it can be start up again.
Here is all the answers i got so far... altenator, battery, main relay, fuel pump, distrubutor.
Heres what i think i know....
Altenator : I dont think its my altenator because when my car dies...my lights still work. And i also did the altenator test...where i started my car...then take off the + wire from the battery...my car doesnt die.
Battery: All my lights work fine...and i dont have a sign of any dimness of the lights.
Main Relay: Im not too sure...about the main relay...
Fuel Pump / Any fuel related *****: When i start my car...it cranks...and i can also press on the gas to make the car jump...so i dont think my problem is with fuel. Plus my fuel filter is less than a month old.
Spark plugs & Wires: Replaced all new...less than 2 weeks old. NGK
Distrubutor: About 3-4 months old...but i think this is where my problem is...i think my igniter is starting to failing me. Reason why...http://www.markl.f9.co.uk/howto/elec...er/igniter.htm
It's either my main relay or my ingiter in my distrubutor.
I think its the igniter in my distrubutor...
I went to 2 shops...one man said it was distrubutor...and the other man said it was the igniter in my distrubutor.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

Re: (1 point 6)
dude, my car did exactly the same thing the other day, it died while i was driving on the highway (with the old and battery light on). i just put in a new battery, and a new distributor about a year ago. it's in the shop now, the guy thinks it's related to the timing belt. i hope it's something cheap

I believe it was the 92 an 93 civics that had dizzy problems. I have (or, had) a 92 and the bearing went up. That was about 3 months after my igniter went up.
Goto autozone and buy a dizzy, if it doesn't solve your problem take it back.
Good luck bro.

You mean you have a swap? Check your distributor anyway.
If not that, then check your main fuel relay.
