My '94 Civic EX (125,000 miles) stopped as I rounded a corner and will not start. It doesn't appear to be the battery because the lights are bright, the horn blows, the radio plays, etc. when you turn the key in the ignition it sounds like it is about to start but nothing happens. I have had the timing belt changed and all required maintenance. The only recent problem I have had is when I drive through a big puddle of water, it sometimes stops and a few minutes later it will start again. Before I call a mechanic, can anyone suggest what my problem might be. Thanks for your HELP!!!!

It's either the ignition or the fuel system. Since the engine turns over, the starter circut is OK. Anyway, you'd need to check the 1) fuel pressure 2) Injectors are working 3)Spark plugs sparking. It should be one of these. Sean
