The car Cranks, but doesnt want to turn over (need help quick)
Checked the main relay ( it clicks)
No fuel going in to the cylinders,
No prime, or buzz from the Fuel pump
Well let give you the run down, we installed a kill switch on my car, It worked , and then while we put the seat back on, and started the car, it would crank, but not turn over...
spark, no fuel
Now we soder'd the connection and as well as heatshrinked it too. and no one sat on the seat.
What else could it be?
fuel filter?
fuel pump?
connections?
please help, i need the car for school tomarrow
thank you

The car worked pre-kill switch so chances are you did something wrong... undo whatever it is you did.

Didnt you wire the kill switch directly to the fuel pump? I assume that's what you did since you had the rear seat off? Obviously what you did is causing it to not work anymore. Are you sure the kill switch is disengaging?

we used a fuse holder for the switch, so when we take the fuse out, it kills it, but when the fuse is in the car stays on.

i hope you hid that fuse holder. most likely a wire got loose or gounded out when you were putting the seat back in. back track your steps, and if that doesn't work then break out the voltage meter and start troubleshooting my friend.

we changed the fuel pump
fuel filter,

I told you to undo what you did.. If it was working before you messed with it then you probably did something to it. You obviously wired something incorrectly and it's causing no power to go to your fuel pump.

Re: (Hatchy-Ownzjo0)
The fuel Pump turned on yesterday, but didnt crank still
The wire has power,
when the switch is on, there is no power, when the switch is off, there is power
The wiring is good, if the wiring was bad, the fuel pump wouldnt have turned on

shouldn't it be when it's on there is power and when it's off then no power? sounds like the wiring is backwards. also, did you double check the main relay? any fuse with the wiring, pump and the kill switch?

must have said it backwards, sorry
but, the fuses are fine and the main relay is perfect

Re: (Element.)
So the pump/switch are working now but the car still wont turn over? Get a fuel pressure gauge at harbor freight tools for like 10$ and check pressure at the filter/rail

Re: (Element.)
Then your next step is to check for spark. Take out a plug then put it back into the wire boot. Have a friend start cranking the car. Hold the spark plug and boot about an 1/8 of inch away from the grounded chassis. Or just buy one of those spark plug testers. OH and when you say it doesent crank- the motor dosent spin at all or it spins but just wont start? Hey im not calling u a moron but i wouldent be suprised if your battery was dead

Re: (Element.)
And all this started when you installed a kill switch?
on the other hand, pull out your injectors and see if they are all spraying.
if they are, then the other thing it could be is timing

thats a good question right there! it clarifies things.
does the car want to start, cause i know when i replaced my distributor it wanted to started but i had to stay on it for a bit (20 secs), but it started (haven't started it for 2 weeks). good luck

Re: (Element.)
well if you got fuel pressure and you have good spark (and ur batt isnt dead haha) then the next thing to do is pull the plugs, jam the throttle body to WOT, and do a compression test. This is a wierd problem that sounds like its mechanical now and not electrical.

was it wired backwards at all? then u fixed it...check the fuel injection fuses in the underhood fuse box...coulda blown that...while ur at it check the pcm fuses as well...put a noid light to the injectors to see if they are opening and closing..sounds to me like u hooked up something wrong and blew somethin

i had the same problem. i was ******* stumped. turned out to be my injectors. dirty as a mother. take em out and take sum carb spray and clean em up... if u dont smell fuel burning then ur not getting any. and u know something. no fuel=no go. i swapped my fuel rail and my injectors with my other one i had lyin around and it started right up. make sure to cehck the o-rings and replace them if need b..
