Which car is a better deal?
Hi,
I've recently been looking to buy a used car and I have found two options. The first is a 97 civic four door 4 cyl 5 speed with 95k. The second is a 99 civic four door 4 cyl 5 speed with 122k. They are right about the same price, I don't know any of the background on either car. But, my question is should I go with the newer car with the higher mileage or the older one with less miles.
Thanks for your time,
Cailyn

Which do you prefer? Overall performance of a less used engine, or the looks of the 99 over the 97 body style? That's all it really boils down to.
Also, what could help would be comparing the conditions of the bodies/paint. Pictures?

Here are the links to the ads/pictures. I haven't test driven either car yet but hopefully will this weekend.

Until you test drive the vehicles in question, I don't see the point in even asking. If they're the same price, drive them and see if there's any appreciable difference in the higher mileage one.
First one looks like it's been in a wreck with a quick fix (see the skimpy paint work on the front bumper, and the laziness of the body shop - black bumper trim pieces are painted body color) . The second taken care of, but older and lower miles.
Drive them
