Car alarm receiver wiring fix
Someone recently tried to steal my car and cut the the wiring off the receiver. How do I turn it off manually and is it possible to fix the wiring? Thank you.

Most alarms can be disabled / bypassed simply by unplugging their main "brain" box under the dash.
That harness connection to the plug will not be easy to repair, better to replace it unless you're real good at soldering.

I think it may depend on the kind of connector used on the antenna (receiver).
If it's a splice type crimper connector, you may be able to work the splice plates back up and insert the fresh wire and recrimp the slice plates.
If it's a plug, you may be able to extract the pins from the plug, do a solder job and re-insert the pins.
If it's a direct solder bit, it will take a bit more work.
You won't really know what you are up against until you open up the casing of the antenna to see what was used for that connection.
Oh and mk378 already covered a possible solution to disabling the alarm via disconnecting the brain once you find it. That should do the trick for the time being.

Re: Car alarm receiver wiring fix
Since the wire harness is cut at the plug, your best bet is to replace the wire. You should be able to get that from a local car audio shop or online. From the looks of it, you either need a better alarm or better alarm accessory such as a proximity sensor.
