Cap and rotor killed the Civic?
I just put a new distributor cap and rotor on a 1992 Civic, after which it ran perfectly for about five minutes, then stopped firing entirely. Anyone seen any bizarro stuff like this before? I can't find anything fried, but it just won't fire! Losing my mind. Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.

It turns over like a big dog, just won't fire a lick. I thought maybe the spring fell off of the coil or something, but it's there. I'm starting to think the danged igniter did go bad, but what are the odd of that happening right after replacing the cap and rotor? It just weirds me out... Every boneyard in the world is closed today too...

It had to have been right - it ran great for about five minutes. I've had the cap and rotor off about 15 times since then, and don't see anything broken, loose, dorked up, etc... right now I'm trying to find the diagnostic plug to see if I can get it to puke out any codes... No weird noises, just no fire... Cap and rotor look fine. I even put the old ones back on and tried that, no dice. Didn't forget the rotor screw or anything goofy like that ;-)
