Can't shift well after clutch installed??
I am running ACT Heavy Duty PP with Action unsprung 6 puck
the break in period has been a week
i can't really shift well... in all gears...
it's fine SOMETIMES.....
then sometimes when i start, i can push in to first, i let the clutch go and step on it again, still doesn't work.. strange.. then after a few try, it's fine...
it usually happens when i go into third and fourth...
something wrong??? my tranny oil??

your master cylinder may be bad. thats probably why it doesn't help when you bleed it, b/c air is just getting right back into the system. and if it is, just go ahead and replace both the master and slave at the same time. i had to get these new when i got my swap done.

I haven't had a problem with driving a 6 puck clutch. Neither have my friends. One of my friends was even driving a 4 puck. None of us were complaining about it. It seems very streetable to me. I'm so used to it that it feel stock to me. So forget what BlackDeuceCoupe says.

only when the motor is cold?...thats call d balky shifting among the DSM croud..its when the fluid is to slippery to engage the gears..then when it gets hot i begins to shift more smoothly...i use a GL-4 70w-85 gear oil in my transmission...and most of the guys around here use a straight 30w oil..slippery is good for motor but bad for transmission..tranny s need the friction for the gears to engage
