this cant be good
This crap has formed on my right rotor..It just doesnt look good. I've had the rotor about 1000 miles and the pads are only a couple days old. Everything was properly bedded in. is it normal?

That pic is not the best pic in the world, it can be water spots or it could be hot spots. Your rotor does look a little blueish gold, which means there getting a little to hot.

Just looks like normal rust you got there man happens to everyone who has a car with rotors on it 
Take it out for a drive real quick and it will be gone but once you park it agian it will come back you never get rid of it unless you stay out all the time spraying them down with WD-40 or sit there and keep wiping them with scotch brite pad.

no no...it's not corrosion, it's been there after many, many drives. I havent gotten hard on the brakes, so I don't think theyre blued. if it was though, is that a problem?

sure isn't..........
all i see are what appear to be water spots...... is it too much trouble to get a pic of the rotor without the tire/wheel on??

bluing rotors usually happens due to stressful braking. excessive stress on the rotors. my rotors usually oxidize after i leave them overnight for a night.

I think that they are heat spots... when the rotors are cold feel them with your finger and if you can feel bumps then they are heat spots...

Actually they can be resurfaced but the heat spots will always come back in the same spots. There are 2 ways heat spots are made, heat of course or they were defecated from the factory. Call AEM up and see what they tell you to do. And by the way slotted rotors can be surfaced but many places don't like touching them.

do that AEM is a good company and their service is good. Just tell them your problem and see if they can send you a per-paid return postage box.

picture not clear..could be ur pads.. are those rotors slotted??hard to tell.. could be bad calipers.. hot spot normally happen when it heats up too much.. when it happens.. your rotors are done.. hotspots make ur rotors weak..cheap quality tend to happen.. where did u get them and how much..

It was a joke rust dosn't form if you have WD-40 on it it prevents rust that is why you spray your cylinder walls with it when you have a bare block sitting in your garage so you can just do a light hone when you put the block in. it was a joke can you get that joke then i said something serious.
To the guy that started this post do you happen to have a puddle on that side of the car in your driveway running through it would cause rust spots so check that out. Also pull the problematic rotor off and look at the other side and then post a better higher res pic so we can get a better look at it
