Can't get out axles?
i have got my gsr in my hatchback but i need to get the axles out to put new ones in. I have tried everything that i can think of. i just can't get the nut on the outer part of the hub off.
i have used a four feet breaker bar, impact guns,wd-40,hammers,some other minor things.
Do any of you have any idea on how to get these out/off so i can drive my new swap?

that seems maybe like a big job, take it to your local garage, pep boy's, autozone, etc. they can remove axles easily. I had a hard time when I tried to get that big pain-in-the-*** bolt off my dead '92's axle. so I gave up and took it to autozone and they yanked it off in just a couple of seconds, after I spent 4- hours putting all sorts of crap on it.

I don't know that cost because I left my new axle @ home and ended up having to get my civic transported back LOL.

hell yes it did. apart from paying for the removal of the rear axle,($20) it cost me $80 to get my civic back to my house. I didn't even think about how I was gonna get home only after they removed it. and I didn't even think about taking the new axle with. I felt like a dumbass that day.

hey, a couple of friends just got those nuts off of my EJ1, and they just used a breaker bar and about a 6 foot piece of pipe on the end.....they also soaked the nuts like every 2 hours with some lube and they spun off....dont know what else to try, but it can be done, it will just take a lot of elbow grease....also, if you take the axles to pep boys or soemthing like that, make sure they are not still on the car, or they wont do it (at least not where I live)....just to give you a heads up....good luck!

i had this problen yesterday! heh. I tried everything. Broke 3 craftsman's, bent 3 breaker bars (big long tubes) and all that.
Drove to my mechanic. He had them loose in 30 seconds. Didnt charge me. Just go to any autp repair shop and they should break them loose for you. They can just tighten it back down. Since it was loose it wont be hard to get back off.

Re: Can't get out axles? (Pho Real)
I got mine out by banging out that dent that they put on the bolt, and used a torque wrench, added the bar from the jackand jumped up and down on it a few times and it came right off

make sure you hammer out that little indent thinger. I did this with my friends hatch, took a minute. I took a 1/2" socket wrench, then put the jack pole over it and it came right off. Maybe some are harder to do than others.

Re: (BrynnTheSlut)
take the wheel cover (if one) off and have the car on the ground w/ all four wheels/tires ON.
then hook up the socket to a breaker bar, use your hydrolic jack to push up on the ends of the breaker bar while someone/thing holds down your brake. worked for me. that was the right side nut, the left side was easy as hell to take off... oh make sure that little dent in the nut is out.
Good luck
