alright dropped a y7 engine in my 96ex got everything in w/ y8 intake mani. Plugged in everything and go it fueled up w/spark plugs and went to turn it over and it wont. Ive got spark,got fuel,its on time and everything it will turn over like one cylinder then quit. Its still got the vtec ecu in but it shouldnt keep it from starting should it??

Do you mean to say it will turn over for one revolution and then ceases to turn?

Well for starters try turning it by hand (wrench on the main crank) and see if you feel resistance. maybe something fell in or got messed.

Also it might be as simple as a bad ground, not enough grounds, dirty ground contacts or a dead battery.

it will try to but just wont actually turn over and start. It spits out white smoke when it does like its trying. Me and my dad went over the timing and everything is PERFECT. After 3 times of checking it its definitly not the timing. So could it be the ecu or something else?

If it is not physically turning then it is not the ecu. COuld be something wrong with the engine (dropped a valve, left something in a cylinder)

Or an an electrical problem such as a dead battery or connection problems with your main grounds or main battery lead

Possibly a shitty starter if you have never seen it used.

hope it aint the engine but then again i got another month warranty on it. Ill check my wires and grounds. But i replaced starter,sparks and plugs,alternator,water pump,belts,gaskets, everything....

You could always try to push start it but if something is wrong with your engine you really will expletive it up.
