Default Can't Feel Vtec

My vtec Solenoid is leaking oil. I can't feel Vtec. Do you think this can be the problem?

can't feel V-TECH huh! put your flame suit on.

it might be the problem, since you have a leak already might as well correct it. take the solenoid off to see where the leak is coming from.

Why not just get a new gasket?

Why do you have to ask us about it?

You couldn't "feel" it even if it were working properly.

Any kind of oil leak is pretty much a problem....check the solenoid make sure it's not clogged and replace the solenoid gasket....it would be wise to clean the solenoid.....

And just for the FYI just make sure it VTEC no V-TECH the phone manufacturer!

If you cant feel V-tech then you need to call up the phone manufacture and ask them what the problem is. this isnt a phone forum.

if you can feel vtec, your crossover point isnt set properly.
vtec should be a seamless switch between the high and low cam lobes, where the torque curves of each lobe intersect.

hearing vtec is another story however

I doubt you will feel VTEC. but if it was not working you would get a Check engine light. If your car is stock you probably wont be able to hear it either.

Well since oil pressure is a factor in vtec engaging i think its a problem.
