Default Can't decide on ECU. D16ZC 93 EG.

Can't figure outwhat ECU to use on my non vtec D16ZC in my 93 hatch. I had the y7 with the p06 but my problem is that it starts up but doesn't stay on. I put the intake manifold from my y7 to the ZC. May there be a problem that I dont know about, err is it my ECU?

It's not the ZC from the crx, it's the replacement for the y7. And from the info that I've received and gathered its the third gen. So it was obd2 right? So if I want to keep it obd1 what do I need? Err should I make it obd2? And if so, how should I go about doing this?

it's not staying running because you're using a 3 wire iacv with an ecu for a 2 wire.

I'm sorry, correct me if im wrong, but i dont think that is on the sticky? I read it like three times, and I'm not breaking any rules. Also, it's two diffwrent topics. One is whether err not to stay obd1 or go obd2. And this one is on the ecu. So pick another reason to pick on me since your the second one to do so. And as the sticky does mention, this site is here for people to learn.

Hum must have been interesting wiring the car to run a OBD2 ECU in a OBD1 car. Best thing to do is run a PO6 non Vtec ECU and all the sensors off a OBD1 non Vtec motor. I would stock with the ZC intake since it is better than the Y7.

Oh and how can I tell what kind of IM I have so when I take a look at my car tomorrow ill take pictures.

He probably has the B7 manifold. The p06 should work fine though, don't try to convert to obd2.

Continue running the obd1 setup, chip ecu and get the correct map on there for a D16.

google pictures of different intakes . . .if you cant tell what intake you have close your hood and take it to a mechanic .. . you have no business under there other than to check fluids.

Uuuuuuum, it is at a mechanic the he say it's the ecu. That the ecu isn't injecting fuel at the fuel injections properly.
