can't decide
I just bought an eg coupe and im bout to do swap, but i cant decide. I would like to either do a ls vtec build up w/gsr tranny or h22 w/gsr tranny. I like both engines but its too hard... iim concerned about the weight of the h22 but i like the power and torque iw ant a daily driver and i have a buget.. if any one could list me any pro and cons about each swap i would aprecciate it cuz i dunno mang..Im Stuck!

H22 with gsr tranny, not gonna happen. The difference in weight is like 50lbs. H22 can be swapped but maintincing it is nearly impossible. I drove one and really liked it. Then i saw one at the track fully gutted run a 15.00sec. I guess do the ls/vtec not my choice though but hell im a n00b

Re: can't decide (OOsi)
apparently they now make an addapter plate to put a gsr tranny on a H22, and i've heard the results are like night and day....

go with a b18c1 engine since its going to be daily driven, unless you have money to just throw around. the H22 isnt as heavy as people think compared to a B series motor. LS/VTEC is going to be expensive to build. although the H22 isn't that expensive to buy, but the money will build up as you're trying to install it.

jdm b18c is the way to go, the h22 (nothing against them) just does not belong in a eg, GSR motor is the way to go my friend good luck and take some pics
