Guys,

My car is stuttering and I can't seem to find out what it is. I thought it was my cat, replaced it, but didn't solve the problem. Thought it was my secondary 02 sensor and got a CTR ECU to bypass it, but nothing. I was cleaning my engine bay and noticed this boot was ripped....could this be the culprit? BTW, what is it? :D

What you're looking for is the squarish looking boot, on the block, right next to the green VIN plate. Its directly in the center of each pic.

i beleive thats ur slave cylinder.

would having a tear in that cause my motor to stutter? Thanks..

Not if it's the clutch slave cylinder.
And the rubber boot has a slit in it from the factory.

no. that piece is transmission related. i doubt your stutter feeling you describe is tranny related.

oh okay...I didn't know it came with a slit from factory..thanks for clearing it up. Theres actually another post about engine stuttering so you guys don't need to reply anymore. Thanks for letting me know tho....!
