If your motor is stock leave the stock fuel pump.

Getting more fuel doesn't do **** without getting more air.

You're car dies likely because your over saturating it with fuel

no, you will not over saturate, because that is what the fuel return line is for. any excess fuel will simply drain back into the tank.

The fuel return line can only return so much. Have you seen how narrow that line is?

Naw, it needs an assload to "overload" the fuel rail. It'll all drain back to the tank if it's only a 255.

@ OP:
If it's the stock motor it's completely unecessary. Though you won't have any problems caused by it as long as you adjust the FPR to be to its stock pressure range.

you'd be surpised how much a 255 walbro can put out.....my old car was boosting 28psi on a 60-1 turbo and it was still running rich....they put out alot of juice... id suggest downgrading back to stock or if you really want to put something, run a 190 Walbro instead....

Another option is simply just run slightly bigger injectors and keeping the stock pump in....
