Default Can you Identify these camshafts?

Last night a guy rolled up to my shop in a 1968 Mustang with a 302 automatic. He said he noticed I was a Honda guy because I have 4 of them parked outside of my shop. Then he says here, I have a present for you. They have been taking up room in my shop and I want to get rid of them. They are from a Honda. I am not so sure. I tried to scan the bar code but nothing came up. I may have had low signal and should try again.

Here is a video. See if you can figure it out. It is definitely non VTEC because of the number of lobes. The main journals are huge.

Thank you for that. I just tried to do a Googe image search and came up with nothing. I looked at autoplicity.com and they had no image. Is there a way to tell if the cam in the box is the correct cam or whether it is just a random box?

This is more of a question for a Toyota guy. Where is shoutoutaccord at when you need him?

I think I will give them back. Besides, I don't want this guy coming up to me for a future favor because he gave me these cams and now feels I am indebted to him.

I must admit that I gave up after the he first search. I thought this would be a good topic to pick some brains.

With that being said, the camshaft in the picture does not look like either cam in my video. Both cams I have have a huge journal in between 1 & 2 or 3 & 4? Do you see this as well? Is there a way to tell the front from the rear of the cam?

My buddy totaled his Camry yesterday, and I'm trying to convince him to let me pull the engine and some other crap to sell on Ebay, instead of giving the car to a wrecker. Its an early 90s, ill pull off the valve cover and check if its got those stupid journals.

I haven't seen those cams ever before either, sorry to not help much.

The one I saw in your video looks to be an exhaust cam.

The first image I posted may be a representitive image and not the actual product, or maybe it's the intake cam.

You probably would get better feedback and more accurate information from a toyota forum. Honda guru's probably don't have as much insight into toyota's.

Well it is about time! Where have you been? What do you have, a job or something?

I expected a lot more from you. Setting the bar low.

That looks exactly like it to me. Score. Thank you. I think I will keep them on my shelf until he comes back to cash in on that favor he will likely expect and just hand him the cams back with this info. Thank you again.

I was at the beach yesterday. What more do you want? I just told you I can check if they do indeed belong in a Camry

Also, the second cam you opened the box of looked to be used while the first one was untouched and brand new.
