Can you fit 6.5" speakers in the rear deck of a '95 civic?
Was looking at them the other day since they are blown and they look like they are 5.25" speakers. But then I was looking on San Leandro Honda online parts and all they have listed for replacement speakers are 6.5". So if someone could clarify please. TIA

No I believe they had fieros 92-95 as well.
Depending on the speaker, a 1995 Civic coupe or 4-door will accept 6.5 speakers... with some trimming of the metal.
Hatch's on the other hand, only take 5.25 i believe.

how do you make 6x9's fit in the back? all i see on my 94 coupe is the round metal thing that fits the 6.5's perfectly, do you cut the metal then? im really intrested in doing this cause of more bass. bump

You want more bass? Put in a sub. Don't use 6x9's.

JDM_Ej- I thought about subs, but the only problem is that i dont have much room in my trunk.. I have tons of **** in there. i heard from people that 6x9's suck in sound quality cause its an oval but is good in bass

6.5" fit perfectly. They are infinity reference speakers. Only problem is they sound like **** when turned up louder. Sounds like too much bass is going to them or something but I don't see how that would affect sound quality with a speaker like infinity

Re: (SR20 Inside)
6.5" speakers should only handle mid-range and high-range sound (given you have a coaxial speaker with the tweeter in the center). If you want low sound, dont push those speakers because they can go on you. Get a sub and send all the low to the sub, leaving your 6.5 handling the mid's and high's.
