1 Attachment(s)
P08 - D16Z6 head
Part numbers:
14711-P08-000 VALVE, IN. CAN 8 $26.53 $18.63
14721-P08-000 VALVE, EX. CAN 8 $42.05 $29.52

D16Y8
Part numbers:
14711-P2A-000 VALVE, IN. USA 8 $14.55 $10.21
14721-P2A-000 VALVE, EX. USA 8 $13.45 $9.44

Attachment 375968

Looking at the spec sheet and the variance in installed height, it looks like stem length is different even thought the rest of the dimensions are the same.

Couple the different part numbers I will respond with I don't believe it will work out well using Z6 valves in the Y8 head.

Re: Can valve P08 use in P2J head?

Thank you tomcat! Very helpful..

I am confused, my friend said he ever use the p08 valve to p2j. and I ask to many others too they answered the same. (In my country)
Although there are some people answer p08 and p2j valve not same.

sorry I don't really understand the meaning of the data sheet.

According to you what happens if I change only my broken valve ( 2 valve in, 4 valve ex) use p08 valve? and if i change all my p2j valve with p08 valve what happens?
I really need help :(

Re: Can valve P08 use in P2J head?

It changes the distance and amount of time the valve is open being the length of the stem is not the same, the rocker arm is either going to push it more or less depending.

Not saying you can't do it but it will effect engine performance in that cylinder.

If you replaced all the valves, then a tune would be required to compensate. Doing it to only one cylinder is going to convolute the whole situation due to the valve timing being slightly off on one cylinder.
