can timing change without adjusting it?

Default can timing change without adjusting it?

I'm wonder if timing would change without any work done to it

the ecu changes ignition timing based on inputs, but the distributor won't move itself

Im not sure if im right, but if the belt jumps a tooth or strecthes some how it will change your timing.

Timing belts to wear and losen up thats why theres a tensioner to help counteract that effect but once it gets worn to a point it just needs to be replaced, id say about every 90,000 miles or so?
