Can someone school me on the distributor?
So is there an internal coil inside a Honda distributor? I've always wondered how they work since there is no firewall mounted coil like most other cars have.
I'm looking at trying to make a distributor kill switch so that the motor won't have any spark if a thief trys to push-start/clutch pop it. Which wire should I be using?
This is on a 00 B18C5 motor.

you could also be asking this question so you can run a wire from the battery to the coil on someone else's engine and steal their car
either way, wiring diagrams are in hayne's manual for integra.

You know.. for a paranoid person you are pretty silly for having a mod list in your sig. Think what you want. I'm just trying to keep my car in my driveway.
Anyone want to actually help me out? I don't want to fry anything important by tinkering around.

that's why I said go to the dealership as they'll have the most correct and wide variety of wiring diagrams available to get you the correct color code.
as for me being paranoid, I'm not at all, however there's lots of people that come on sites like this and ask questions like yours in order to figure out an easier way to steal a car. simple as that.
you actually dont even need a wiring diagram to be honest. Open up your distributor and trace one of the 2 wires that hook into the coil and splice there. thinking serves a purpose.
