Default Can someone help me find this piece

I damaged my inner trim piece, I can't seem to find it online, because I dont really know what to search for. I was wondering if you guys could help me find a replacement. It's for a 96 civic DX.

There's a link in the FAQ for a thread that shows different sites where you can find part numbers and parts for sale through Honda dealerships (sometimes for cheaper than local).

It's listed under the following:

- 07 INTERIOR/BUMPER
-- 01 FLOOR MAT

GARNISH, L. SIDE - (*NH264L* (CLASSY GRAY))
84251-S03-G00ZB

GARNISH, L. SIDE - (*NH178L* (EXCEL CHARCOAL))
84251-S03-G00ZA

Your door jamb will have the interior and exterior color codes printed on it. TYPE K is Classy Gray, TYPE F is Excel Charcoal.

As long as you can get the same color you have in your car, any coupe or hatch for '96-'00 has the piece that fits. But like I said, check the color first. This way you can get one from a junkyard or eBay for cheaper.

Yep, that's it.

Check several sites though. Some will give better deals than others. Remember some get you with the shipping!

These are probably plentiful in local junkyards.

Search here:
www.car-part.com

Just enter your info in, but don't select anything in the "Area" drop down. Leave that one as it is.

Select any part similar (like a seat) to your part and then figure out where you can call. It can't be from a sedan.

It will have to be from a coupe or hatch.

All '98-'00 hatches have the color interior you have by the way. Green, black, red and purple '96-'97 hatches will also have this color interior.

Red, black and silver coupes also have this color interior.

Real quick, it's the whole piece I circled in yellow right? Because I was looking at garnish pictures on google and it just shows stuff like this. The part I damaged is up by where the hood release is, on the curve.

The garnishes you're showing are for different, later models.

The parts catalog often does not call parts by what people would really call them.

For example, you know the handle up on the roof on the passenger side of the car, right above the door? What would you call that? Many people call it an "oh ****" handle. It's really called a grab rail, but I doubt most people call it that.

It's difficult to say what they'd call it on eBay.

If you find a local Si in a junkyard, it has the right color also (all EM1s have dark gray interiors).

I added a screenshot of the part in the catalog above.

Ahh I see. How would I go about finding a junk yard in my area? Do I just search google for "junk yard" and my city?

One of my posts above (#5) tells you how to find junkyards in your area with cars that might have the part you need.

The site won't list that part alone, so just pick anything from the interior (preferably from that side in case the car is damaged).

Then call the numbers and ask them if they can tell you the color code off the door jamb or at least the exterior color of the car.

Remember, it has to be from a coupe or hatch.

Coupes must be:
Red
Black
Silver
*or an Si - all Si coupes have dark gray interiors*

Hatches must be:
Red
Black
Green
Purple
