Both will act the same with the exception of the P72 being able to monitor the knock sensor. Not THAT important to say the least.

with a rechipped p28, in uberdata it has an option for knock sensor or not. you can also add IABs on a p28 as well. whats your setup?

Sure you can TOGGLE the option on or off. Any rom editor will allow you to do that. But simply toggling it on doesn't mean its going to work. Considering a P28 doesn't have a knock board and also no circuitry to control IABS, without doing some soldering its NOT going to do anything. Go ahead, enabled the knock sensor and burn a chip. Stick it in your P28 and tell me what you get.
