can an oil pan from d16y7 fit a d16y8?

Default can an oil pan from d16y7 fit a d16y8?

STF, didn't find anything ...

Is the oil pan on the non-vtec engine the same size/shape as the one on the vtec? Can a steel pan for the d16y7 be used on the d16y8 with the correct gasket?

yes they'll interchange. Its been done, they have different part numbers but the blocks/oil strainer/oil pump share the same part numbers.
