OEM ek mirrors are ugly anyway. Just go on ebay and buy some fake spoon mirrors. 35 shipped for power ones.

My driver side broke just like that about a 1.5 years ago. I made up some brackets from fog brackets that were also damaged in the same accident and used a lot of gorilla glue.

Everything fit perfectly, just the motor no longer works. Doesn't matter to me though since I will be picking up a set of folding mirrors soon. I just needed this to hold me over.

Epoxy and some extra plastic to reinforce it.

Since you're broke: epoxy it for now, adjust it in such a way you can use it and leave it until you can get a replacement.

were the brackets showing? or were they hidden inside the housing of the mirror? you never tried wiring the wires together?

Best answer ^

Find a used one at a junkyard or craigslist...sand...and buy matching paint from one of those OEM paint in a spray can websites...spray...then clear.

...or buy the spoon replica mirrors...leave them black...or paint match as suggested above...they have carbon fiber ones too if you're into that.

Autozone sells several different types of epoxy. I just picked up some five minute set stuff for glass the other day. I can't remember all the types they have and different stores can have different stock as well

Most hardware type places like Home Depot, Lowes, Ace, even Walmart carry different epoxies. Walmart actually had some cheap, general purpose stuff that was like $2 a tube that I liked.
Plastic epoxy never really seems as strong as the others. It doesn't seem to bond as well and isn't as rigid, unless I just got the wrong kind or something.

not trying to be rude. but if your not sure if it is fixable or not and you dont know what epoxy is or where to get then you probably should have someone else just replace your mirror for you. it will be hard to type with a mirror glued to your hand....lol

honestly if you have a junkyard anywhere near you they wil sell you a mirror for under 30 bucks(at least around here) it may not color match for now but it will look better that epoxy all over the place
