can main bearing caps be swapped between Z6 blocks?
Can main bearing caps be swapped between blocks, or would they have to be line bored? A buddy of mine damaged his when taking his motor apart and doesn't know if he needs to get another block or just the cap.Thanks.

yes you are.
But since the original main caps are bored with the block, I would take it to a machine shop to make sure it's a perfect match.
Might be able to just get it line honed for trueness to be safe.
It'll probably work out no problems, but better be safe
