Can i use the ecu from a 98 integra ls to put into a 99 civic si?
Im looking to pass emissions and in my civic i have an OBD1 ecu and of course there is communication errors. Are the ecu's the same in a 98 integra and a 99 civic? Im just looking to switch to pass inspection. If someone could let me know that would be great.

I just posted in your other thread... why the new one?
The 98 Integra ECU is OBD2a and your Si is OBD2b. You will need a conversion harness to begin with.
But you will likely fail inspection anyway. The ECU for a 1.8 running (presumably) a 1.6 will be running very rich and if they do sniff in NY, not sure, your emissions will be **** poor. If you have a secondary O2, then it will likely be bitching about the cat not functioning correctly. Any sort of CEL will fail you in NY I believe, which means any sensors you lost when going to OBD1 is a CEL.
