Was looking at purchasing these, but in the description it says I have to use some kit in order to use coilovers with it, and gives me the feeling that you can't use standard springs. They're New Old Stock shocks, so I feel parts may be missing.

Are the gold items pictured perches?

u can use regular springs on it, but since the shock body has a different shape from the stock (and other aftermarket) shocks, it won't accept some sleeve coilovers w/o mods or adaptors. i know that ground control makes a different application for cars with koni shocks
