Hi,

I am about to make an investment on a vechicle that has 204 thousand miles on it. Its a Honda Civic DX 5-speed "94", I dont like 5-speed, but do like the car. Since the engine is Smoking bad, I would need to rebuilt the engine, and since 5-speed aint for me I would like to swap it to a automatic also. Now is this conversion possible?? or would it be to much of a hassle to change?? I have seen the engine/with tranny it looks farly easy.

Do you belive it would be a good idea to make the swap? or just get me and automatic?

I've read that doing an manual to auto is a lot more time consuming, not to mention harder than doing an auto to manual conversion.

I say just get an automatic and spare yourself the trouble. Keep on searching for another car.
