Can I rev my ****?
Let's say that I have a turbo D16Y8. I would like to rev it more than the stock redline. If I were to use, say a B16a2 ECU, then would that **** anything up?
How much different is it to the D16Y8 ECU? VTEC crossover can be altered via my VAFC along with the fuel. I simply ask this because I could probably 'test' one from my buddy's car.
Now, next question. I realize that the stock cam and valve springs were meant only for 7000-7200rpm. Since I am turbo, do you think that the turbo will offset the cam's not making power to, say 7500-7800rpm? Also, will my rods be able to keep up at those rpm?
Mainly, I want to know if I can safely, on an IRREGULAR basis, rev my stock engine to 7500-7800rpm.

Re: Can I rev my ****? (maztur)
sure, rev your ****. when it breaks, you can pich up all the pieces and do it correctly. you seemed to asnswer your own question when you said the stock valvetrain can only handle 7000-7200 rpm. then you ask if you can rev to 7800???and i don't see how the turbo could offset a shitty cam at 7.5k to 7.8k.
