Ex tranny would be the best thing you could ever do for your vx. And a z6 intake manifold and z6 head would help as well... you will need the p28 ecu along with a 4 wire obd I o2 sensor, just a little extra wiring for the o2, and that's it.

how much hp or 1/4 time differance was there when you did this and how much would a ex manifold cost? imma vx retard thanks

ok now i have the 5 wire o2 sensor and a p28 ecu? so ur saying change it over to a 4 wire what wire do u NOT use on the 5 wire?
|
Re: can i put a ex head on a vx bottom end?? (krookedeg6)
the wire not used on the EX ECU is the D3 pin I believe. This is the '5th wire' on the VX ECU (I think in all other cars the D3 is reserved for the knock sensor?) Anyways, it wont matter because if you get the EX ECU, and use your VX harness, just deny the one left over wire for the 02 sensor (I think its the blue/yel on the VX o2 sensor harness)
Did that make sense? http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif |

Yeah...except the super dished VX pistons are in there...compression is super low. What you need then is some P08 Pistons... |

mini-me swap. the vx head has the vtec-e (economy) while the ex head has the good vtec |
Re: can i put a ex head on a vx bottom end?? (hondaeg5)
The VX was made for good gas mileage, I wouldn't try to make it "fast".
That's just me though. |
