Default Can I Put a B-Series Motor In a Auto EJ1?

Like the title says, is it possible? I like the B18 motors but I don`t wanna spend the money on one, just to find out that my car won`t run rite since it`s not a manual. It may sound like a dumb question but, I just haven`t a clue haha.

You plan on keeping it automatic? Why?
You can do it in a 5th gen but if you ever plan on doing anything that requires tuning down the road, you're screwed. There isn't any EMS that works with automatic transmissions. Wiring is reported to be a beast too.

I wouln`t want to put a turbo in my car anyways. But I think my D16 is on it`s way out and want to get a motor with a bit more power for my dd.

I am however planning on getting a new project for the fall/winter though.

And if the tranny sucks, how come mine has lasted 17 years??

It sucks for power. No one said they didn't last. That's why no one builds autos and why people screw their faces up when anyone says that they are.

I kinda don`t have a choice...and I really don`t feel like doing a conversion on my car just to make it a manual nor have the money to get a manual EJ or EG.

Since I`m going to get flak anyways, what tranny can I mate with a B18b

Don't see what would be the issue in converting everything at the same time if you're going to swap any way. I'm sure you could do it for less money than you'd think.

IMO you would be much better off to swap it to manual. I have done the auto to manual swap, it's not very hard it just takes some time. You would likely run into more issues trying to keep it auto. It's been my experience that Civic auto transmissions are hit or miss. I have seen a few last for years and years but more often I have seen them fail.
