Can I fix my broken Canadian EM1 cluster?
I have a Canadian EM1 and recently speedo went crazy so I got a new EM1 cluster and everything is back to normal, except I gained a few kilometers on the odometer. I still have the cluster with the crazy speedo so I was wondering if I could make my old one work by swapping a few parts and then I could get my true odometer reading back. Is this possible? I do not have a lot of experience with electronics so if I have to solder anything then forget it but if this is possible could anyone explain to me how to do it? Also why are people interested in buying broken clusters? My guess is they know how to fix them, this is one of the reasons I made this thread :p

Re: fixing clusters
It most likely is the same problem that causes our main relays to fail so much (at least 92-95 relays): dry welds.
Look up this article on how to fix a main relay with dry welds and try it on the back welds of your speedometer.
There's a very high chance you'll fix the issue.
