Can I expect a decent 1/4 mile time improvement with a Xact 12.5 lightened fly wheel?

Default Can I expect a decent 1/4 mile time improvement with a Xact 12.5 lightened fly wheel?

Just wondering if this is really going to help me out and if its a good performance upgrade that is worth the money?

I am getting a organic racing clutch and thinking about putting on of Xact lightened flywheel in it also?

lightened flywheel = less drag on the engine, less rotating mass, faster revs and more responsive clutch feel.

Get used to it and it will take a little off your quarter. Don't be looking for .5 seconds and 5mph, but it will help a little. Things like a lightened flywheel become more noticible when more modifications are done...it's a conjunction mod.

on a further note, they have a street and race flywheel, one is for street and strip, one is for road race, the road race is 4 lbs light than the street version, is there any truth to the more weight is better for drag racing?

depends if you can shift fast cause the rpm will drop twice as fast now some people like the heavy flywheel for better launching and easier shifting but if you have it down youll feel the diff
