can a dx exhaust fit on a cx?
i have a 1997 honda civic hatchback cx single over head cam. i wanna get exhaust beacuse mine broke but everywhere i look none of then ever say for a cx model. so i was wondering if a dx exhaust would work on my car, and if not what will? i think it will work and i dont want to do a motor swap yet because i only just hit 30,000 miles. Please help, thanx!!!!!!

It will fit for the most part. I think if you dont use the "downpipe" for the dx/hx modles it will bolt up tot cat? Someone correct me if im wrong, or you may need need to have a section made to fill the gap.
Does your car have the cat mid stream in the exhaust system?
If it does you could order a exhaust for a 92-95 si hatchback.

'96-00 3dr DX and CX share the same exhaust.

uhhh...what? He has a 97 CX. I think you're thinking of 92-95 CXs
The CX and DX have the same engine (D16Y7) so I'm pretty sure a DX specific exhaust will work.
