I think all you have to do is block a couple vacuum ports. y7 and y8 blocks are the same its the heads/manifolds that are different

i been reading alot that the iacv is the issue but many people are saying that who ever has a y7 5 speed must use a y8 auto manifold and others say just get a y8 manual manifold so im in the middle here stuck with a y8 auto manifold undecided

i believe all Y7 have the verticle facing TB correect? in which the auto and manuels both use the 3 wire IACV. if so!

you want to use the Y8 AUTO manifold. the Y8 manuel manifold uses a 2 wire IACV on the back of the manifold. you don't want this cause the wholes there are not meant for the 3 wire.

you should be able to use your same TB with a Y8 auto manifold. the vacuum lines i am not sure about but they should be for the most part exactly alike exept for the placement of them on the manifold.

Correct. All Y7s and Automatic Y8s use a 3 wire IACV attached to the throttlebody. You want the Automatic Y8 IM for a Y7.

I have a y7 w/skunk mani and it has the two holes where the IACV go that are plugged. I have a y8 manual mani I tried using and idle was way off. I also heard you need the auto y8 mani. If you already have it I say try it. Either way lmk I want to go y8 mani and would like to know which to use

i have a y7 whith a y8 auto mani that i did about a month ago and it made quite a difference. If you were to use the manual i heard you can plug the holes for the iacv and just use the y7 tb. but with the auto mani you can use either or tb because they are the same. I used the y7 tb on mine you just have to get a y8 throttle cable pully and your good to go. Only problem i ran into was the y8 mani had small 8mm holes above the injector holes that caused a vacume leak so i tapped them and locktited some set screws in there and it runs like a champ. Good luck hope you get it figured out.

y8 auto u can use with y7 head <-- if putting on auto
if putting a y8 auto on a manual y7 u need make the iacv holes put the iacv
need convert to 2 wire aicv or just leave 3 wire iacv ur choice
y8 manual u have to covert to 2 wire iacv

remember some y8 have holes by were the injector go
