a flywheel will not give you horsepower.

Since when did a flywheel give you HP? I would go Cams b4 a flywheel. Flywheel is not that big of a necessity.

A lightened flywheel won't give you horsepower but it will make you a little faster. Just think of it as making you car lighter by taking out seats, etc.

the lightened flywheel doesn't make your car faster by dropping 9 or so pounds off the total car weight. it does so by reducing the rotating mass inside the engine. This means less power is used to spin the flywheel, so more power is transmitted to the wheels. The same principle applies to lightweight wheels.

Also, aluminum isn't the best material to make a flywheel out of. I'd rather have a JUN or Zex flywheel made of chromoly steel. lightweight and strong.
