Cams-USDM vs. JDM
Does anyone know if the JDM B16 cams are better than the cams that come in a 99-00 Si. I was given a pair of cams out of a JDM b16 and I was wondering if they are worth putting in my car.

Re: Cams-USDM vs. JDM (Bigphlip)
I'm almost positive that they are the same. I replaced my JDM second gen B16A cams with CTR cams. I was gonna sell the B16 ones but was told they were worth nothing so they are just taking up space in my garage.
If I'm wrong someone tell me cause I'd like to get rid of them LOL They only have 34,000 km's on them.
I checked and they say the lift and duration are the same for both JDM and USDM as well as 1st gen and 2nd gen.

Re: Cams-USDM vs. JDM (Bigphlip)
the first gen jdm b16a's probably have the same cams as a usdm b16a2. i know the 2nd gen b16a's have a slightly more aggressive cam, and slightly higher compression ratio to make the 8-10 more hp. i doubt it would be worth it to swap them in your car, unless you had adjustable cam gears, and new for a fact the cams were what you're told they were. they could be the same thing you have...
