Default CAMS in 97civic ex

Hey, I was told if I bought camsfor my motor it would give me 8-15 hp and you would feel when the vtec kicks in is this true??? are cams worth the money right now i have a civic ex with front and rear strut bars aem cold air intake with bypass valve and exhuast system other then that stock..............thanks for your help....

Hi Bro if you say you have a 97 ex you will be needing a cam not cams because you have a d16y8 which is single overhead cam(sohc) and not a dohc like a b16, b18 etc.. There are alot of treads about sohc engines let me find some for you and it should help you on your choices for you car..
